1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Pumpkin Slices (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Non-Custodial & Informational Nature

Pumpkin Slices is an expense-tracking, balance-calculation, and debt-simplification application. Pumpkin Slices is not a bank, financial institution, or money transmitter. We do not hold, transfer, custody, or transmit money between group members. All debt settlements between members are executed independently outside of the platform.

3. Optional Accounts & Cross-Device Sync

Pumpkin Slices offers an optional account feature via Google or Apple Sign-In. Accounts are not required to use the Platform. By signing in, you agree to the following:

• Data from Identity Providers: When you sign in, we receive your display name, email address, and profile photo URL from Google or Apple. This data is stored privately in your account profile.
• Group Linking: You may link groups to your account for cross-device access. Linked groups store a reference to the group ID and its passcode hash within your private account data.
• Account Deletion: You may unlink groups from your account at any time. To delete your full account profile, contact our Support team.

4. Group Tiers & Payment Upgrades ($2.99)

Pumpkin Slices offers a Free Tier (up to 20 entries per group) and a single-payment Unlocked Tier ($2.99 per group).

• Shared Group Expense: The $2.99 upgrade fee is automatically logged as a shared group expense split equally among members.
• Non-Recurring: The $2.99 upgrade is a one-time charge per group, granting 2 years of active retention and unlimited expense entries.
• Payment Processing: Upgrades are processed securely by Stripe.

5. Payment Security & PCI Compliance

All payment transactions are handled directly by Stripe. Stripe is certified as a PCI Service Provider Level 1, the highest security grade in the payments industry. Pumpkin Slices does not process, transmit, or store any cardholder data or credentials on our servers.

6. Refund Policy

We stand behind our service. If you purchase an Unlocked Tier upgrade ($2.99) and experience technical issues or are unsatisfied, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting Support.

7. Acceptable Use

Users agree not to use the Platform for unlawful activities, fraud, spam, or transmitting illegal content. Passcodes should be safeguarded by group creators. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your sign-in credentials and must not share your authenticated session with others.
